The Danish Competition and Consumer Authority initiates an analysis of the wholesale distributor market for medicinal products

07 September 2015

The newly established Danish Competition Council has decided to initiate an analysis of the wholesale distributor market for medicinal products. The aim is to analyze the effectiveness of the competition on this particular market, which is characterized by two “players” holding a very significant market share.

The initiative follows the decision made by the Competition Council in the end of 2014 in which the Competition Council found that the two wholesaler distributors had coordinated fees as well as terms and conditions.
